Das hat so eine gemütliche Ruhe erzeugt. Sorry das ich auf Deutsch schreibe da mein Englisch eingerostet ist :-) Ich hab es noch ein wenig verfeinert mit einem Funkennetz aus einem Auspuff von einer Kettensäge - somit bekommt das Torf auch von unten Luft und brennt komplett ab und auch länger :-) ungefähr eine Stunde und manchmal auch länger. So pleased the ad showed up on my FB feed! A delightful gift that I had to get for myself! Takes me back to happy childhood memories. I no longer burn turf as the muddy ash kept staining my rug and carpet, so when I saw this, I didn't hesitate.

Yes, I was delighted to get my traditional Irish cottage. It reminds me of when I was young and going to Ireland you’d see the lovely cottages maybe with the thrush roof and a lovely red door, I can’t wait to put the Little turf but I will have to wait till the winter made of good quality very happy

I love my Irish cottage and turf. The smell brings back such good memories of landing at Knock Airport when I used to go and see my parents, both of whom are no longer with us, and smelling the air on the drive to their house….so familiar and nostalgic.

The Cottage has taken my mum (almost 90) immediately back to her childhood. Mum cried when she saw the smoke rising from the chimney It is a true Vision of the Past. Mum said it was like "walking down the hill to home" We, her children, were also transported back to a time when summer holidays at granny's cottage were better than anything the Med has ever had to offer. We expect the red door to be opened by granny who, carrying a large bucket, will walk up the hill to the Well to collect water which back then, tasted better than wine. My mum is captivated by this cottage, she lights the fire in the cottage every morning and it has a special place on her breakfast table. The smell is unbelievably realistic as well. Well done Ian, it is a masterpiece of nostalgia which we will treasure

My husband is from Donegal, and the one thing he misses and we all look forward to when we visit Ireland every year is a fire with turf. So when I found this company, I was thrilled. Not only that, but the little house looks like the wedding ceremony building at The Lodge hotel in Ballyliffin, where we were married. I love that the smoke comes out of the chimney. Purchased the cottage and a refill pack, smells amazing. I had one sod that wouldn’t stay smouldering, kept going out, even after drying out but that hasn’t changed my review , item is still excellent and all the other sods have been fine.
