What's a Creel?
"A creel is a square or rectangular type basket made from sally rods or wicker grown locally for the purpose of carrying heavy loads of turf, seaweed or potatoes on a donkey's back. In olden times the creel was carried across the shoulders on a man's or woman's back."
Includes 28x solid sods made to burn easily and slowly to fill your home with the original smell of an Irish cottage. Each Creel basket has been filled, tied and sealed in foil to keep them free from moisture.
These incense sods are made to be exact miniature replicas of a real Turf sod, sadly selling Turf in Ireland to use as a fuel has been banned and this once distinct aroma smelled throughout the country will diminish over time.

The Unique Creel Basket is made of 3D printed brown matt PLA. It's a solid construction and great for storing your turf incense for when needed.
Basket measures 10cm x 6cm x 4.5cm
Gift box measures 15cm x 12cm x 9cm
Produced on our historic farmland in Silverbridge in the Heart of South Armagh, you can recreate the smell of rural Ireland in your own home without even owning a fireplace!
With our Incense turf sods placed on the Slate burner and ignited, you will soon be transported back to the old Irish cottages, where warmth and cooking of food were provided by the open fire and sods of turf burning within.
This incense has been specially designed to be easy to ignite with a lasting smoulder that will fill the room with the distinctive smell of an open turf fire.
Each turf sod should burn for approx. 30-45 minutes.
Slates are hand cut at approx. 8cm x 10cm, each sod varies from 3cm - 4.5cm. They are natural products and will vary in size, shape and performance when burned. All Incense sods are made from real turf, reconstituted to burn well.
Each small batch is made by hand and with love in County Armagh ❤️

I love this stuff, it is exactly like my childhood memories of a turf fire. I will be buying more for relatives who no longer live in Ireland.

For the price of these incense you would think they would be exactly like in the photos but the item is much smaller that it looks in the photos. 28 tiny pieces which if it were on a stick would probably fit 3 sticks. Also, I expected it to really smell like the Peet from back home but instead it smelt like someone burning wood in a can at a construction site.
Totally not worth the price.
